Baby Dedication
Baby Dedication Information
Please take a few moments to view and fill out the Baby Dedication Guideline Form. At the Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, we do not baptize infants; we dedicate them. Baby Dedication is a simple ceremony where the parents bring the baby/child before the congregation.
The parent(s) dedicate themselves to raise the child in such a way that when he or she becomes older, they will decide for themselves to follow Christ. The minister will prompt the godparent(s) in a series of questions focused on assisting in the raising of the child in a godly manner, with the godparent(s) response of “I or We will.” The minister leads the family and congregation in a prayer of dedication. We are excited and pleased that you desire to dedicate your baby into the service of the Lord. Babies are dedicated on the 4th Sunday, in the main sanctuary. So that we can schedule your baby for dedication, please fill out the following information and return it to the Church office, attention to Wendy Irby, who will also assist you with any additional information you may need for your baby’s dedication. We will also need the actual Birth Certificate before the dedication is scheduled.
